Renewing your membership
How do I renew my membership?
The easiest way to renew is by debit or credit card, by joining as a member on this website. Card payment is now our preferred method for all members, and your membership will then renew automatically each year, giving you uninterrupted access to Double Reed News, the Members' Area and your member discounts.
Please note: when you join on the website, your renewal date resets to one year from the day you sign up — it does not carry over from your previous membership. So it's best to switch as close to your current renewal date as possible, to avoid losing time you've already paid for.
If you joined through this website
Nothing to do. Your renewal will be taken automatically using the card you used when you signed up.
If you joined before April 2025 and pay by standing order or bank transfer
We're asking all existing members to move to automatic card payments. To switch:
Wait until close to your current renewal date, then choose your membership type above (Student £20.00 per annum, Standard £30.00 per annum).
Click Join and complete the form with your details.
Pay by debit or credit card.
Cancel your existing standing order with your bank so you aren't charged twice.
Your new membership will run for one year from the date you join on the website. If you can't pay by card, or need help switching, please email membership@bdrs.org.uk.
