Thea Musgrave’s ‘Night Windows’

Thea Musgrave’s Night Windows for oboe and strings features as part of the Pandemonium online Music Festival in Govan, Glasgow, Scotland, performed by Amy Turner and the Glasgow Barons, conducted by Paul MacAlindin. Commissioned by the International Double Reed Society for Nicholas Daniel and filmed in the Macleod Hall, Pearce Institute, Govan, the piece explores the moods of our private lives, after Edward Hopper’s painting of the same name.

A review will feature in the next issue of the Double Reed News; in the meantime you can enjoy the performance for yourself here.
