…featuring two Competition World Premieres!
We are pleased to announce our Double Reed Discovery Day, taking place at Leicester Museum & Art Gallery on 18th September 2022, during the same weekend as the culmination of this year’s Leicester International Music Festival.
The affiliation of this event to the festival (whose Artistic Director is our very own Nicholas Daniel!), will help to raise the profile of double-reed music and the activities of the BDRS.
A range of activities for oboists and bassoonists will be on offer. These include a recital of double-reed music featuring the world premieres of works commissioned from the winners of the two oboe prizes in the 2021 BDRS Composition Competition.
Early birds, apply for this event by 7th August – prices increase by £10 from 8th August!
