We are very pleased that we are now able to put on events which centre on live music!
Activity Days are a new form of event for the BDRS, which, as the name implies, take place over the course of a day. This allows for a good amount of tutored individual playing time, as well as chamber music groups of appropriate size for the repertoire. Our main aim is to give everyone the experience of the collaborative joy of playing music together!
Activity Days are organised by BDRS Regional Representatives – tutors at conservatoires or specialist music schools, or orchestral/ensemble players, who are committed and enthusiastic, and who organise Activity Days in your local area and in formats that will be attractive to you.
Howarth of London are supporting the event and will be displaying a selection of their instruments and accessories. To avoid sharing reeds or instruments you can contact Howarth in advance and arrange to try out instruments on the day.
Wonderful Winds and Billerbeck Oboe Reeds are generously supporting the event with double reed ensemble music.
The BDRS is hosting this Activity Day in partnership with Bromley Youth Music Trust (BYMT), who have been very generous in providing their venue and their help in planning. It will take place at:
